The Vitocal 300-A from Viessmann is an air source heat pump in the output range from 13.2 to 55.8 kW. An output of up to 279 kW is possible with a cascade of up to five Vitocal 300-A heat pumps.

Low noise and low vibrations

It delivers low noise and reduced vibration levels due to its advanced, sound‑optimised design, making it suitable for installation in noise‑sensitive environments.

Flow temperature

Maximum flow temperatures reach up to 64 °C (AWO 302.B60) and up to 55 °C (AWO 302.B25/B40), enabling efficient operation for both standard and moderate-temperature heating systems.

High heating outputs

High heating outputs can be achieved through two-stage operation, allowing the system to efficiently handle increased load requirements.

Rated heating output

Rated heating output varies between 13.2 kW and 55.8 kW, allowing the system to be adapted to different building sizes and load requirements.

ViCare app

The ViCare app provides intuitive heating control. Green for go – the user can see at a glance in the app whether their heating system is working as it should.

ViGuide app

ViGuide is an app for trade partners. It has numerous functions for monitoring and controlling systems in both detached houses and apartment buildings and provides rapid access to Technical Service.

Vitoconnect

The Vitoconnect is the interface between boiler and app – the prerequisite for heating system operation via smartphone and tablet. It also provides remote system maintenance capability for contractors using the Vitoguide app.

Convenient control

The Vitotronic 200 (WO1C) is wall mounted inside the building for easy access, which facilitates straightforward commissioning and control of the heat pump. In a dual mode system, say in combination with a gas or oil boiler, the heat pump control unit can automatically start the second heat generator.

Furthermore, the Vitotronic 200 heat pump control unit is capable of communicating and, via the Vitocom 100 or Vitocom 300 communication module, allows the heat pump system to be set up, monitored and optimised over the internet with the Vitotrol app on a smartphone or tablet.

Where the Vitocal 300‑A is used in commercial applications, it can also be linked to a building management system using Vitogate 200 KNX.

Yes. The Vitocal 300‑A is designed to operate reliably even in low outdoor temperatures, maintaining performance down to around –22 °C while still delivering usable heat output.

How energy efficient is the Vitocal 300‑A?

The unit achieves a coefficient of performance (COP) of up to about 4.3 (A7/W35), meaning it can generate more than 4 units of heat from 1 unit of electricity.

Does the unit require defrosting in winter?

Yes, but it is automatic. The system includes efficient defrosting through refrigerant cycle reversal, ensuring continuous operation even when frost builds up.

Can the Vitocal 300‑A be controlled remotely?
